Parking: Where do we park? Is there free parking?

Free street parking is available after 5 PM along Allegheny River Blvd. where the theater is located. There is also free street parking along the side streets in Oakmont. There are no meters in the Oakmont business district; however, please be aware of 3 hour parking time limits before 5 PM.

Is that a train?

Yes, the train tracks in the center of town are active – so please be careful when crossing!

What is the attire at The Oaks Theater?

The attire for attending The Oaks Theater is entirely up to you, and depends on the specific event. We host everything from casual movie nights, to formal charity events. If there is a suggested attire, it will be listed on the ticketing page. Additionally, you can reference the conversation within the Event posting on our Facebook page for more information.

Are there age restrictions on shows? Can I bring my kids?

Most of our shows are all-ages, and children are welcome with adult supervision. Anyone wishing to purchase alcohol at the bar must be 21+ with a valid ID.
Some of our shows however do have age restrictions or age suggestions due to the content or nature of the show. Please check the specific show you are interested in before purchasing your ticket (when purchasing your ticket through Showclix, it will indicate at the top of the page if the show is All-Ages or if there is an age restriction).

Is the theater wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the entrance to the theater is wheelchair accessible. Please note that the entrance to the theater has a slight slope incline. There is wheelchair access to the sidewalk in front of the theater near the parking lot adjacent to the theater.

Please also note that our handicapped accessible bathrooms are located next door.

Do you have handicap or wheelchair accessible restrooms?

The restrooms at The Oaks Theater are located down a set of stairs on the lower level. To accommodate those in need of handicap or wheelchair accessible restrooms, we have an arrangement with the building directly next to the theater (Fox’s Pizza) where handicapped facilities are available. Patrons are welcome to use these restrooms as needed.

How do I purchase a wheelchair accessible seat for a show?

To purchase a wheelchair accessible seat, please contact our office at 412-828-6322 and someone will assist you.

Do you have a bar?

Yes! We have a full-service bar now located in the lobby of the theater. Any food or drinks purchased at the bar can be taken into the theater to enjoy during the show. Outside food or beverages are not permitted in the theater.

Do you sell food?

Yes! We serve light fare. This includes delicious freshly made flat breads, pepperoni rolls, and gourmet grilled cheeses, as well as snacks such as toasted almonds, hot pretzels, popcorn, candy and other snacks. Please see our menu page for more info! Any food ordered can be taken into the theater to enjoy during a show, or you can enjoy at one of the tables in our upper lobby.

Do you have an ATM machine?

Yes! For the convenience of our patrons, we have added an ATM machine in our upper lobby.

Can we bring food or drinks in?

Sorry, no outside food or beverages of any kind are permitted in the theater.

What is your refund policy?

All ticket purchases are non-refundable. In the event that there is a circumstance which prevents the show from taking place, replacement tickets will be issued.

What is your bag policy?

All bags or purses are subject to a bag check upon entering the theater.

  • The theater does not allow any weapons of any kind.
  • No outside food or beverages are allowed in the theater.
  • Backpacks are not allowed in the theater.
  • If you have any prohibited items, you will be asked to take them back to your vehicle or items will be confiscated.

Strobe lighting and hazer warning

Typically our shows do not include strobe lighting, but please be aware that some shows might. A hazer machine is typically used during all of our shows. The hazer machine emits a light, non-toxic haze which is used as a lighting enhancement.
