Derrick can be found performing for corporate audiences, country clubs and fundraisers, along with touring all over the east coast with great comedians like Bo Burnham, Dave Coulier, Taylor Williamson, Jon Lovitz, Jon Reep, Greg Warren and more. He has won The Stand Up To Cancer Competition in Huntington, WV and placed as a finalist at the Cleveland Comedy Festival and been named one of the “Highest Rated Comedians” by Campus Activities Magazine. When he’s not on the road doing shows, you can see Derrick hosting his new show Comedians In Carts Making Bogeys on the PGA Tour Entertainment Channels. He is also the co-host of the soon to be famous Bad Potato Salad Podcast with Mike Travers, where their wives read them the wildest stories they find across the internet, and Mike and Derrick blind react to them.

The New PURE GOLD
With a music career spanning four decades, Pure Gold performs material from the '50s, '60s and '70s as well as a blend of blues, standards and original material to highlight their unique talent and range.
Starting in 1978 as Acapella Gold, they quickly gained popularity. After a few successful years they decided to add a band and name the group Pure Gold. After 43 years of performing and sharing the stage with many music legends such as Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valli, Chuck Berry, Smokey Robinson, the Four Tops, The Temptations and the Isley Brothers to name a few, Pure Gold decided to retire, and their fans were sad to see this legendary group perform its final show in December 2021. With permission from the group's lifelong manager, Henry DeLuca, an agreement was made to continue under new management with some new personnel and a slightly modified name: The New PURE GOLD. We want to thank all of our fans who have supported us and continue to support us throughout the years.
So get ready, everyone, for the pride of Pittsburgh: The New PURE GOLD - Keeping the Oldies Alive.

Billy Price
2016 Blues Music Award (BMA) winner and frequent BMA nominee Billy Price first attracted national attention during his three-year association with guitarist Roy Buchanan. Price is the vocalist on two of Buchanan's LPs, That's What I'm Here For and Live Stock. Since then, with the Keystone Rhythm Band, the Billy Price Band, and solo projects, Billy Price has recorded and released a total of 20 albums, CDs, and DVDs.
Price’s album This Time for Real, with the late Chicago soul singer Otis Clay, received a 2016 Blues Music Award in the category of best soul blues album. He received BMA nominations in 2019 (Reckoning) and 2020 (Dog Eat Dog) for best soul blues album, and in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024 for best male soul blues artist. He has also been nominated in 2024 for a BMA for Instrumentalist - Vocals.
The Billy Price Band, based in Billy’s hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa., consists of Dave Dodd (drums), Tom Valentine (bass), Lenny Smith (guitar), Jim Britton (keyboards), Eric Spaulding (sax), and Joe Herndon (trumpet). 3rd Annual Adam J. Garvin Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser
This event will be held in honor of Adam Garvin, who was tragically killed on his motorcycle by a careless driver in August 2021. Adam was a 2019 honors graduate of Plum high school and Mustang football team captain. He was pursuing his engineering degree at the University of Pittsburgh at the time this tragedy occurred. The memorial scholarship was set up to annually award deserving Plum high school seniors some financial assistance toward further education in his memory.
Along with being a motorcycle enthusiast, Adam was also a self-taught guitarist and loved music of all kinds. This band night event featuring Sourmash, along with promoting awareness to watch for motorcycles seemed a fitting choice to raise money for the scholarship fund. There will be basket raffles and 50/50 drawing. The Oaks theater also offers their full snacks and bar menu that are available for purchase during the event.

The New PURE GOLD
With a music career spanning four decades, Pure Gold performs material from the '50s, '60s and '70s as well as a blend of blues, standards and original material to highlight their unique talent and range.
Starting in 1978 as Acapella Gold, they quickly gained popularity. After a few successful years they decided to add a band and name the group Pure Gold. After 43 years of performing and sharing the stage with many music legends such as Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valli, Chuck Berry, Smokey Robinson, the Four Tops, The Temptations and the Isley Brothers to name a few, Pure Gold decided to retire, and their fans were sad to see this legendary group perform its final show in December 2021. With permission from the group's lifelong manager, Henry DeLuca, an agreement was made to continue under new management with some new personnel and a slightly modified name: The New PURE GOLD. We want to thank all of our fans who have supported us and continue to support us throughout the years.
